Have you already chosen the scenario to prototype? Let’s define the steps to be followed for the prototype creation. It is also important to think about the material you need. If you need any material not directly available in your classroom decide who is going to be in charge of bringing it. Finally, it is also important that you agree and organize the work within the group.






Is it clear how you are going to create the prototype? Let’s review the planning and start making the digital prototype. For that, we recommend to use Tinkerdcad program. https://www.tinkercad.com/


We recommend to do some training with the tutorials provided by the program so that you get familiar with it.  


Remember that you can use 3D model libraries as a resource for pre designed objects (for example you can find cars, trees or any other object already created).  Using libraries for downloading objects will make digital prototyping easier and quicker.


Below you can find different links to existing free libraries to download 3D models to create your own prototype. Remember that the usual working routine is:


    • – Download the selected object.
    • – Check that the downloaded file is *.stl.
    • – Import it into the Tinkercad file.


Finally, take pictures of the final digital prototype and upload these pictures together with the 3D design prototype file to your corresponding Google Drive unit.

If you have arrived at this activity, you are going to make a physical prototype. Do you remember how you are going to do it? Have a look at the previous planning activity you have defined.  Make sure you have all the material ready to start building the prototype. So, it is time to make it tangible! Make it as real as you can!


Finally, take pictures of the final physical prototype and upload these pictures to your corresponding Google Drive unit.
